About

Award-winning Interior Designer Karen Hott specializes in helping clients define their own style while taking cues from the natural environment. Palettes often include colors and textures of the outdoors. Projects may begin as a blank canvas or as an opportunity to breathe new life into an existing space by rearranging, refurbishing or simply reusing client-owned items in a new way.

By weaving the colors and textures of nature together with various types of furnishings and accessories, Karen’s designs provide a timeless quality. Inspired by classic fashion, artwork and accessories become the jewelry within a space, unifying all elements of the interior. Interiors are rarely period-specific. An abstract painting is at home above a Louis XVI commode, a sleek art deco table is as classic as a black dress and is equally as interesting atop an inherited persian rug.

Karen has a bachelor’s degree from Sweet Briar College with a major in Environmental Studies and a Biology minor. She then received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from American Intercontinental University. Karen is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers and participates on committees within the Georgia Chapter.
